The NicolaHazelnut® range of trees are specifically designed for the mechanised plantations and do not need to be pruned after being planted. By covering the stem in wax, the buds are projected from atmospheric conditions until the plant reawakens and regrowth begins, but not only that, it also creates a protective layer that helps the plant during the transplantation phase from the nursery to the hazelnut orchard.
Other varieties are available upon request with a withdrawal period of about 1-2 years, depending on the natural production and growing cycle of the plants.
