Variety of Italian origin, particularly common in the region of Lazio.
The fruit is spherical and has a medium/big size. The shell is thin and the fruit has an excellent yield when shelled.
After the roasting, the cuticle is completely separated from the fruit. The tree is characterised by a medium vigour.
The cultivation of this variety in the provinces of Viterbo and Roma produces the Nocciola Romana PDO (Protected Designation of Origin).
